On February 11-12 the first conference of the Ukrainian Association of Paediatric Oncology / Haematology took place. The event was held on-line and brought together more than 350 doctors of various specialities. Lviv Honorary Ambassador Roman Kizyma became a co-organizer.
Over 30 speakers from the leading institutions of paediatric oncology / haematology in Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and leaders of International Society of Paediatric Oncology – SIOP reported in sessions and panel discussions.
The development of paediatric oncology / haematology in Ukraine, new approaches and the role of immunotherapy in the treatment of neuroblastoma, issues of solid tumours and neurooncology, as well as high-dose chemotherapy and bone marrow transplantation were discussed.
