A meeting and press conference of the newly elected Lviv Honorary Ambassadors took place on November 23. The press conference was attended by Deputy Mayor for Development Andriy Moskalenko, Director of Lviv Convention Bureau Lina Ostapchuk and newly elected Lviv Honorary Ambassadors: Oleksiy Kohan – radio journalist, creative curator of Leopolis Jazz Fest (formerly Alfa Jazz), and Maciej Śmietański – surgeon-herniologist from Gdańsk. The newly elected Honorary Ambassadors told about their activities related to Lviv and important events planned in Lviv for next year.
Oleksiy Kohan announced the Leopolis Jazz Fest, which will bring together jazz musicians from all over the world in our city from June 27 to July 1, 2018. Maciej Śmietański told about the cooperation of Polish and Ukrainian surgeon-herniologists, a significant achievement of which will be the holding of the international medical congress of the European Association of Herniologists in our city on September 9-11, 2018 (Read More on the site).
We remind you that this year Honorary Ambassadors are elected in Lviv for the third time. Honorary Ambassadors are persons, who through their authority and professional activity, promote Lviv as a rightful place for business hospitality events (conferences, forums, seminars, exhibitions, symposia, summits).
Lviv Conference Bureau is engaged in the implementation of the Lviv Honorary Ambassadors Program. In two years that the Program has been in operation, Lviv has received 21 ambassadors. This year they will be joined by 9 more prominent figures of science, culture, technology and medicine. The official ceremony of awarding the title to new ambassadors will take place on November 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the premises of the Metropolitan Andriy Sheptytsky Center
