On December 3, an international medical conference “Modern aspects of cranio-maxillofacial surgery” was held in Lviv. Lviv Honorary Ambassador Myron Uhryn shared his professional experience with 200 participants of the conference.
During the event, the speakers talked about providing assistance to the injured in the maxillofacial area during wartime, shared the achievements of reconstructive surgery and traumatology of the maxillofacial area, told about the organization of the system of providing maxillofacial surgery departments of military and communal hospitals with metal osteosynthesis tools, and exchanged experience regarding the use of cone-beam computed tomography in the diagnosis of congenital and acquired defects of the maxillofacial area, implementation of 3D printing and manufacturing of patient-specific implants for the rehabilitation of patients with traumatic injuries of the bones of the facial skeleton.
Foreign specialists from France, Belgium, Poland and Ukraine took part in the conference. In parallel with the lectures, an exhibition of medical equipment and technologies took place.
