The Ukrainian Translation Industry Conference (UTIC) was held in Dnipro from 20 to 26 July. The international event was attended by speakers from the USA, Poland, and Spain.
Lviv Honorary Ambassador Tetyana Struk has been a member of the Conference Program Committee almost since its foundation. Thanks to her contacts and authority, well-known speakers and international delegates come to participate in the conference.
This year, the winners of the Lviv European Student Translation Contest, which has been held by Tetyana’s company for 16 years, also attended the conference. Future translators discussed their work with colleagues and had a chance to work in the training interpreter booth.
“In today’s online world, this conference has literally become a breath of fresh air. A lot of interesting and useful content during the day, and in the evening – talks with friends, songs near the campfire, concerts with performance of participants. This is the only conference in the industry where people come with families, and everyone finds something to do: creative workshops, a children’s program, personal development trainings. Every year, in addition to professional development, this conference brings participants incredible emotions and unforgettable impressions”, says Tetyana Struk.
During the conference, Tetyana and her colleagues invited well-known women in the field of localization to the session to share their professional success stories. The meeting was held in preparation for the launch of the Ukrainian chapter of a well-known international organization.
