The XIV International Conference on Crystal Chemistry of Intermetallic Compounds took place at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with the support of the Lviv Convention Bureau. Lviv Honorary Ambassador – Roman Gladyshevskii was the chairman of the organizing comittee of the conference.
Leading scientists of the world in the field of crystal chemistry came to Lviv to give their lectures, present new results of developments on the synthesis, crystal structure and properties of intermetallic compounds. More than 200 participants from 12 countries shared their experience and generated new ideas over 4 days. The purpose of the conference is not only the exchange of scientific information, but also the deepening and expansion of international cooperation.
Among the invited lectures are 14 world-famous scientists in the field of crystal chemistry: Pierre Villars, owner of Material Phases Data System (Vitznau Switzerland), Ladislav Havela from Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic), Mauro Giovanini and Pavlo Solokha of the University of Genoa (Italy), Petro Zavalii of the University of Maryland (College Park, USA), Shuichi Iwata of the University of Tokyo (Japan), Dirk Johrendt of the University of Munich (Germany), Libin Liu of Central South University (Changsha, China), Mathieu Pasturel of the University of Rennes-1 (France), Yuriy Plevachuk of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Yibin Xu of National Institute for Materials Science (Tsukuba, Japan), Vincent Fournée of Nancy-Université (France), Daniel Fruchart of the Laboratory of Crystallography and Magnetism of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (Grenoble, France) and Oliver Janka of the University of Munster (Germany).
